Hello,
I am foreigener and I live with my family in Poland. 2 weeks ago my lovely neighbours heard my child (9 years) screaming. Just because it wont tidy up it's room. The screaming took place for 5 minutes - like "I wont tidy up" - "I don't do this".

After my child was quite again. I heard how my neighbours were talking via balcony about what they heard. I closed the windows because I was not interested to talk with them. After some time someone rung at my flatdoor and knocked on it. On sunday afternoon I was not expecting anyone. I did not went to the door and did not open it. After 20 Minutes where nothing happened we had lunch. During our lunch the police assaulted my flat. Firefighters slammed our front door and police officers came in.

My wife and daughter were totaly scared. Police just said they don't take my child away. They took our ID cards, but they didn't show their on ID. After several questions the gave us the Police number - but I don't know if they are right. The police searched our rooms and we were tested on alcohol. My wife and me 0,00 alcohol. Then they documented the slammed door and went away. Leaving us alone in terror. Until today we have nothing in our hands to proof the assault.

My questions are can I expect to get the cost for a new front door from the police or other recompensations?

And what can I do with my neighbours? Art. 212 §1 KK seems not to work because of Art.213 §2,2 KK. Is there anything else what I can do?

Sąsiedzi zaalarmowali policję, ze względu na krzyki dzieci, trzeba było otworzyć policji i wyjaśnić sytuację. Policja działała w trosce o dobro dzieci, naprawdę trudno tu się doszukać złej woli policji czy sąsiadów.

If you could bee so kind and show me the Polish law where it is written that I have to go everytime and see who wants to talk with me. That I have to open the door everytime an unknown person wants to come inside. I thought the constitution is respected in Poland.

If it is so, why my child needs a therapy to handle the incident?
Before it was not necessary!
